Data structure
A well-structured data framework is essential for effective addressing and personalization. Please take note of the following points:
Your data should contain field identifier that are as spoken as possible or alternatively, an additional file with the appropriate record description should be attached to your address data.
Please pay attention to the preceding zero for the postal codes of the new federal states.
For the premium address optimisation, a maximum of 35 characters are allowed as field length; therefore, please shorten sensibly.
File formats to be processed are ASCII, .CSV, .TXT, separator or fixed width, as well as Excel files or Access databases. Different formats are possible by arrangement.
For address splits, we ask you to deliver them in separate files with meaningful file names.
Data transmission
The transfer of your address data is best accomplished through a secure FTP connection (sFTP, FTPs via SSL, etc.). We would be happy to set up an exclusive account for you. Please note that it is important to attach a pool description with every address transmission.
